Protecting your money and your information is the core of what we do. Here's how we do it, and a few steps you can take to add another layer of protection.
We encrypt data in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. Access to systems that hold customer information is limited, logged, and reviewed.
Our fraud team monitors account and transaction activity around the clock, and unusual activity can be flagged, held, or blocked automatically.
Online and mobile banking support multi-factor authentication using a one-time code by text or email, or a hardware security key. We recommend enabling it and keeping it on.
Charter North Bank will never call, text, or email you to ask for your password, full card number, or a one-time code. If someone does, hang up and call the number on the back of your card.
You can freeze and unfreeze a card instantly from the app, set spending limits, add travel notices, and turn specific transaction types on or off.
Set up alerts for large transactions, card-not-present purchases, and low balances so you notice anything unexpected right away.
Charter North Bank is a Member FDIC institution. Your deposits are insured up to the maximum amount allowed by law. Investment and insurance products are not FDIC insured, are not bank guaranteed, and may lose value.
Contact us immediately using the phone number on the back of your card or in the site footer. The sooner you report unauthorized activity, the more we can do to limit any loss.
Keep your contact information current so we can reach you quickly, and review your statements regularly.
